An old trick (which I probably learned here years ago) is to plug the speaker/mic into the radio and then loop the cord through the belt clip and away from the radio on the opposite side.? It works better (in my opinion) than the plastic ring Phil (KC6OEI) mentioned comes with the microphone (which I threw away).? :)? ??Phil is also correct to recommend turning the radio off before plugging/unplugging the microphone.? It will absolutely key the radio if you don¡¯t.
