? I have a UV-5R and anFT-60.? The FT-60 has a better receiver and
transmitter.? I also have LiION batteries.? Yaesu makes them for
some of their commercial radioes, but they fit the FT-60.
I'm looking to get a new handheld. I currently have
a Baofeng UV-5R and Yaesu FT-817ND and am drawn to the
FT-60 and VX-3R based on my experience with the
FT-817ND. I believe the VX-3R has a better receiver than
the FT-60 and I would prefer the LiION battery to the
NiMH of the FT-60. But I'm wondering what the TX range
is like with the VX-3R. I'm in the Netherlands and am
visiting the US next week with an intention to buy and
would like to hear about user experiences, preferably
from those who own or have owned both devices.
