On a windows computer, go to Control panel, system, device manager, ports.? This should give you what port is being used by your cable.? If more than one device shows up and you are not sure, unplug the cable, and the listing should disappear.??Plug it back in and it will show up again.? Always try to plug it into the same usb port. ?
