This is what I use. I do not take it on and off.
?It has made it through many events clipped on to my belt, pants or jacket pocket.
Get the right sized wire holder so it holds the wire tight when closed but not so small it crushes it. I have seen metal wire holders used also.
You will have to get a longer screw to replace the one out of the belt clip bracket.
