Call HRO and get the Yaesu software and it comes with a cable. After-market cables require an adapter to make the computer and the software to talk back and fore to radio. I found this the best way to program the FT-60, the only other thing you need wit the Yaesu software is a repeater directory.

I'm new to the world of HAM, but I do not know what programming is needed for the FT-60. I just saved my local repeaters in memory and gave them a name. Is there more that I am missing. I don't have any programming cable. ???
