Re: FT-101E Signal Generator is off frequency
Plus, you have to adjust the 500KHz back dial of the VFO every time you switch from LSB, USB or CW... relative to zeroing your market generator.

Re: FT-101E Signal Generator is off frequency
Since the span between LSB and USB is about 2.8KHz, I suspect your 25KHz and ?100KHz points are just about right and the error factor is probably much less than 50-100Hz off. And the 601 is no way as

Re: Location of FH2 Ft101ZD MK3
From the service manual - "The RF input signal from the antenna is fed through antenna relay RL2, lamp fuse FH2, attenuator switch S2004 (located on the lever switch unit...)" So trace the line from

FT-101E Signal Generator is off frequency
Hi, I'm new to FT-101 world but am really enjoying it.? I recently got an FT-101E and have done a lot of work getting it to work properly.? I've recapped the entire thing, performed the clarifier

Re: Location of FH2 Ft101ZD MK3
Thanks for the reply. That is where I've been looking, nothing that resembles a fuse or fuse holder in this tank cage that I see on the bottom.? There is a 3pos terminal strip mounted inside the back

Re: Location of FH2 Ft101ZD MK3
If I recall correctly you take off the bottom cover and the bottom screen over the finals compartment. Trace the coax center line back from the PL259 jack an inch or two and you will see what looks

Location of FH2 Ft101ZD MK3
I bought this rig at a hamfest and the seller was less than honest, imagine that... Anyway, it loads up good but no receive, checking out what others suggest.? Specifically where is the Lamp that is

Possibility of Adding AM to an FT-101ZD MK0
Is it feasible to add AM capability to a MK0? ?Does anyone have experience with this? Thank you. 73, Michael Smith, N4KZO

Re: No output FT-101E
Dear Mick I'm not sure that I understood the complete problem, but if as you say " ALC/Power/IP still show the same readings if its putting power out or not ", I believe or think that is a relay

FT-101 No Power Output- RL1?
Hi all,? I Have a FT-101B that no longer produces output power. RX was and still is very good and stable It was producing solid power on all bands until a few weeks ago when it went to the bench for

Re: FT-101ZD MK2 AM BOARD looks odd / modified???
Hi Cuck, very interested in the mod you suggest. All I have seen to overcome the narrow AM audio bandwidth after fitting the 6kHz filter involves fitting a relay to bypass the next, (width filter -

Re: FT-101ZD MK2 poor sensitivity ..
Soooooo .... after going back and forth and head scratching and wondering why the Marker Signal goes through but RX is very weak I by coincidence found out that you have to *apply the marker signal

Re: FT-101ZD MK2 AM BOARD looks odd / modified???
Thank you? ddelectrical, That's reassuring :) I also got my AM board to work, it was a mix-up in the coax connectors (there are 2 of them, and they're both grey)

Re: FT-101ZD MK2 AM BOARD looks odd / modified???
Post it here if possible. I have two MKIII radios and two of these optional AM boards. I’d like to install them correctly myself.

Re: FT-101ZD MK2 AM BOARD looks odd / modified???
There are two pins on one of the IF board plugs that have to be swapped. Pin 3 and 4 of one of them will send all audio but CW N thru the narrow filter slot. CW N will then go through the normal SSB
