Re: Early FT-101 problems
Thank you! Sounds like a solid plan. I will let you know how it goes.

Re: Diagrams
Thank you but I already have those manuals. As far as I can tell the schematics are all for B models and newer. Am I missing something?

Is anyone aware of where I can find schematics for early (below 25000 sn) FT-101's? I have a copy of the Yaesu service manual but as far as I can tell all the schematics are for B models and up.

Early FT-101 problems
I have an early FT-101 SN below 25000. Problem is it has no 13.5 volts. It keeps blowing D7 and shorting D8. I have replaced them with IN4004's which seems to be what most people use. I have also

Dave, Everything that I have posted in this thread is how I finally got to this point. I believe the biggest thing was that I had some bad cap components that were changed out. During my initial

Re: New to me FT-101B
Today was a big day for the radio and I. I can NOW adjust to 50 milliamps idle driver current. THIS IS HUGE for me! And the radio will tune up on 80 (hot) 40, 20, 15, and 10A. The power out seems
