Re: FT-101E Signal Generator is off frequency
This is great info, thanks!? I just tried to adjust it with the trimmer pot, and I could get it sorta close as long as the screw driver was on the pot, but as soon as I took it away, the marker tone

Re: Location of FH2 Ft101ZD MK3
Thanks for the input, I can't find the elusive FH2 by tracing, using magnifying glasses, bright lights, mirrors, etc so I'm done with it. It's now listed for sale on QTH.com.

Re: FT-101E Signal Generator is off frequency
OK. Does your radio have the WWV receive crystal installed? If yes, tune the receiver to it and zero beat the carrier while listening with headphones. Then off tune a bit so you hear a 400hz to 800hz

Re: FT-101E Signal Generator is off frequency
Thanks Bruce. Something is off somewhere, I'm just not sure where. I know that if I pull up the 14.300MHz Maritime Mobile net, I can center the VFO dial on 14.300 and hear the net fine, so I feel

Plus, you have to adjust the 500KHz back dial of the VFO every time you switch from LSB, USB or CW... relative to zeroing your market generator.

Re: FT-101E Signal Generator is off frequency
Since the span between LSB and USB is about 2.8KHz, I suspect your 25KHz and ?100KHz points are just about right and the error factor is probably much less than 50-100Hz off. And the 601 is no way as

Thanks for the reply. That is where I've been looking, nothing that resembles a fuse or fuse holder in this tank cage that I see on the bottom.? There is a 3pos terminal strip mounted inside the back

Re: Location of FH2 Ft101ZD MK3
If I recall correctly you take off the bottom cover and the bottom screen over the finals compartment. Trace the coax center line back from the PL259 jack an inch or two and you will see what looks
