Re: FT-101 Main Tuning Dial Off Frequency

Bruce,

I can't find anything listed anywhere but it looks like TC1 adjustment trimmer cap in the VFO should do it. I would note the position of the cap before moving it so if you need to return it back you can. I would tune the main dial to a known freq of a net for instance, and try the adjustment to bring the receiver to it. It shouldn't take much adjustment to do this if it has just aged and shifted over time. You can access TC1 by lifting the processor board that is on top of the VFO box. TC2 is the drift cancellation adjustment. TC1 should be the one you want.?

Bruce,?

One thing you might check is to make sure the lubberline, or the indica line is square with the center of the dial.?

Sometimes the escutcheon of the front of the radio gets put back on a little askew.?

I know it's a longshot, but might be worth looking at. Just a thought...

Hi everyone.

I'm still looking for guidance on how to adjust the main analog dial on my 101-E to match the received USB frequency.? I recall seeing something about making an adjustment on the VFO unit but I'd appreciate confirmation and what exactly to adjust.? If there is a special method to use to make this adjustment I'd appreciate that info also.
Thanks!
Bruce
