Hello Members -

Why do I see that Yaesu uses a paragraph style, individual step by step documentation style for their Adjustment / Calibration?
procedures? ( ie.? FT-767GX? and FT1000(d) , others? ) ?

Whereas, Kenwood and several other transceiver manufacturers use a Table or Spreadsheet style format for their units Adjustment / Calibration
procedures.
The Table format style appears much more appealing and easier to work with to self.

Has anyone here attempted to convert the Yaesu Calibration/Adjustment paragraph's to a Spreadsheet or Table format or know
of where to find a similar conversion ?

Turned out to be a Windows 11 issue. Changed to a Windows10 laptop and it worked like a champ. Everything else was the same.

Make sure your data port is configured properly in the menu for rear and not mic.

Got the driver properly installed and system is good except no power out in transmit. This, apparently, is a common problem with several operator's rigs. More research lies ahead.

Plugging it in to the available USB port doesn't work, and Yaesu says that the virtual com port driver must first
be installed before it will. My question is what software driver installation worked for others out there. There is some that is free and others that cost about $30 or so.?

Why? Just plug it into an available USB port. What's the virtual com port for?

Just got a new FT710 and it is working fine, but in order to hook it to my laptop I need to install a virtual com port driver on the laptop.? Has anyone out there had to do this to their laptop, and if so, what software worked for you?

I ordered a "circuit writer pen" and covered the bottom of the power button extension with the circuit ink. The radio will now turn on and off.

This is my first post to this group. I have a FT 1000 also and I have no transmit on any of the bands. I’m thinking finals at this point, but not sure as I do get 20 watts out in FM mode.?

Yes. I have seen a very similar fault symptom on the FT1000(D).

I have acquired a Yaesu ft-50r. It will not power on. If I pull the main board out and attach a power source I move a piece of metal across the wires on the motherboard and start the radio. Then moving the wire across the switch will not turn the radio off.If I quickly reassemble the radio and attach the battery, the radio will still be on. I can transmit, it receives. I can alter the squelch level ( I broke the speaker leads when I pulled the boar, so I can't hear the radio at the moment). If I then push the power switch, the radio will turn off, but I cannot turn it back on.

I have seen this problem addressed in some very old posts using a circuit writer pen to coat the bottom of the switch. I am not sure if the entire bottom gets coated or only a portion.

Has anyone heard of this problem with the 50r and if so, how it was fixed?

Update...
The FNB-41xh 9.6 volt 1200mAh battery charged to 12.33 volts overnight. The radio will not power on, so something else is wrong.
