Re: ftdx3000d mic settings heil pr20
Have you contacted Heil for their recommendation? If you don't get a
recommendation from anyone here, I would ask them if you haven't already. FTM-350
I just picked up a second hand FTM-350, with APRS and the GPS module installed. Hoping someone can help or at least offer some insight. I know this is an older, discontinued radio. For whatever reason, it seems I don't have dual receive capability. Both left and right receive work, but only on whatever one is the main (as indicated by the triangle). Sub-band mute is off. APRS modem is off. I've gone through the manual but haven't seen anything that seemed relevant. Was I reading the specs on this radio wrong and it doesn't actually have dual receivers? Perhaps I just need to perform a factory reset. |
G2700-SDX pinout vs. G2800-DXA
开云体育
Hi all,
I have a G2700-SDX in great condition, but the direction indicator no longer works on the control box. The rotor turns full CW/CCW but without the indicator I can't tell where. The plug on the motor is a 6pin, and the 2800 successor rotor now has a 7pin.
Does anyone know if a controller from a 2800 or 1000 can be wired for the older 2700 (a comparison document made by Yaesu lists the 2800 and 1000 features as being shared).
An email to Yaesu service in CA yielded nothing....they said they have no info on the 2700 (as if it were made by someone else).
Any help appreciated.
Idiom Press makes a board that gives the 2700SDX digital functionality, but it's not clear if the problem in the controller goes beyond a bad indicator. Possibly an RT-21 would work also, but trying to avoid that expense.

Adjustment / Calibration Procedure Documentation (Yaesu )
Hello Members -
Why do I see that Yaesu uses a paragraph style, individual step by step documentation style for their Adjustment / Calibration? procedures? ( ie.? FT-767GX? and FT1000(d) , others? ) ? Whereas, Kenwood and several other transceiver manufacturers use a Table or Spreadsheet style format for their units Adjustment / Calibration procedures. The Table format style appears much more appealing and easier to work with to self. Has anyone here attempted to convert the Yaesu Calibration/Adjustment paragraph's to a Spreadsheet or Table format or know of where to find a similar conversion ? ? |

Re: FT710 issue
Plugging it in to the available USB port doesn't work, and Yaesu says that the virtual com port driver must first
be installed before it will. My question is what software driver installation worked for others out there. There is some that is free and others that cost about $30 or so.? |
Re: FT710 issue
开云体育Why? Just plug it into an available USB port. What's the virtual
com port for? On 10/29/2023 10:34 PM, Marc-K7WXK

ft-50r power button
I have acquired a Yaesu ft-50r. It will not power on. If I pull the main board out and attach a power source I move a piece of metal across the wires on the motherboard and start the radio. Then moving the wire across the switch will not turn the radio off.If I quickly reassemble the radio and attach the battery, the radio will still be on. I can transmit, it receives. I can alter the squelch level ( I broke the speaker leads when I pulled the boar, so I can't hear the radio at the moment). If I then push the power switch, the radio will turn off, but I cannot turn it back on.
I have seen this problem addressed in some very old posts using a circuit writer pen to coat the bottom of the switch. I am not sure if the entire bottom gets coated or only a portion. Has anyone heard of this problem with the 50r and if so, how it was fixed? Thanks -- Rick, KK4GGL |
