Re: Best way to get Yaesu parts?

I actually got an answer from my inquiry. Not sure if it was the web form or my
email but I was given contact information and got three ordered. They're on
backorder for a few weeks then should be available. I had to order the assembly
with the plastic shell that attaches to the back of the head unit as the spring
in the assembly is not available separately anymore, so I can't just replace the
two (?) pieces that are lost. I ordered 3 of these. One for immediate
replacement, and two in case these wear to over time.

A piece of tape works well as long as I don't want to connect and disconnect it
often. So it's not super-important, but I like things the way they came from the
factory.

I ran into the same issue a few months ago. I found talking to the engineer directly on the phone helped me, but I must warn you that at that time they were overlogged with repairs.
