Alexander Wood All Messages By This Member #21 Les, I'm not really sure I'd call anything an "upgrade" from the ESU ECoS, as that's a very powerful and feature-filled system, but if you want to try something new, the YD7001 is a great place to start. I'm not sure how you're "supposed" to connect a DR5000 to TC, but the most likely way I'd think of would be through a LocoNet connection with a DCS100 selected as the command station, as the DR5000 is basically a emulating a DCS100 from a LocoNet perspective. If you're going to use touchscreens, I'd recommend staying with?+SmartHand and running everything through that with your separate network so that you have all the features of TC, and not using the YD7001's Wi-Fi network. If you do want to add WLANMaus or UWT physical controllers, you could do that through the YD7001's built-in Wi-Fi, but I'm not sure if it would mirror the speed commands to LocoNet so that TC could track the speed of trains controlled with those controllers.
