DR5000 Track Output which is Rail A & Rail B

Terms Rail A and Rail B are commonly used as per NMRA's nomenclature.
The DR5000 doesn't label the outputs so which is which?

They are equal.

Since it has an H-Bridge, the outputs only refer to eachother, not to e.g. ground.

So no need to mark them either A or B.

Greets,

Karst

I've seen H Bridge schematics which note Rail A and Rail B.
I recall the use of the term may be something to do with orientation of a loco on the track in a cab forward direction, and also phasing of boosters(?)

It does matter for booster phasing, but not for loco direction that is determined by the polarity from the decoder to motor.

I belong to a modular group, where we have several boosters that are set up each time, with no guarantee which way they are connected.
I don't bother with checking the booster output before powering up, but go along with a tester across each board joint. If one is reversed I just swap the connectors to the board until all are ok.
