DR5088RC global detector output

I'm looking to use a DR5088RC to report occupancy on some track blocks of a new layout. I understand each such block needs to be wired to an individual Railcom detector output on the DR5088RC.?
?
However, for the blocks where I don't need to monitor occupancy, do all of these have to be wired back to the DR5088RC global Railcom detector output? Or, to simplify my wiring, can I bypass the DR5088RC completely and just connect these blocks directly to the DCC bus (which is connected to the DR5000 track output)??
?
PS. In case it's relevant, every layout block will use insulated rail joiners on both tracks to isolate it from adjacent blocks.?

Ian,

?

You can by pass the DR5088RC and go straight to the DR5000.

?

Only one rail needs to be insulated between blocks and then double gapped when next to non DR5088RC blocks.

?

Hope that helps.? ?
