I disconnect the the DR5000 and remove all previous installations first.? Do a complete fresh install and then connect the DR5000 after the install is done.??
The PC App should still start even without a connection to the DR5000.? It will just start demo mode.??
If that doesn't get you going I would look at what Dennis said and then try a different USB cable.
