Yes, the North American is enamored with sound decoders. Decoder manufacturers think this ?the best way to go. US MFG’s do not want to spend a few penny’s to make the decoders Railcom Friendly.

Also the Railcom protocol is in the NMRA standards from the beginning.? Railcom+ was introduced in the last few years.
