Re: Control Software

JMRI is a totally different piece of software from iTrain and TrainController. JMRI has some limited automation capabilities, but is primarily focused on operations, signaling, turnouts, decoder programming, Wi-Fi throttles, DCC system diagnostics, basically just about everything except automation. iTrain and TrainController can't do a lot of what JMRI does, but are designed for automation. Here in the US, I've only ever seen TrainController used for automation, I've never seen iTrain, but here the number of automated layouts pales compared to the number of layouts designed for operations, so most layouts use JMRI, only a few, mostly ones designed for automation, use TrainController.

I don't blame you for not answering for French signals, they're complicated to? say the least. We weren't trying to use them.

Let me write something up and get back to you in about a week with more details on what we wanted to do. Basically, what we were trying to do was use a simple 3 aspect signal (RYG) with no blinking around the 3 branches of a turnout. For the approach we were trying to set up a 2 headed signal (one for each branch), each head having 3 aspects. I'll explain in more detail in my write up.

If you can solve the problem great!
