Configuring DR5033 (booster)

Hi

The railroad club I belong to has seven DR5033 boosters and a DR5000 command station.? To give each of the DR5033 boosters a unique number I connected a loconet cable from the DR5033 LocoNet B jack to the DR5000 Loconet B jack, started up the DR5000 configuration app on a laptop, clicked on the Loconet B symbol in the app, and proceeded? to configured them one at a time, giving each of them a number from 1 to 7, and set other CVs according to our planned configuration.? The only trouble I had was that I discovered if you did not selected 'DR5033' from the module name drop down box, you would get a TIMEOUT and the configuration changes would not happen - when I consistently selected DR5033, each DR5033 was easy to configure.

We installed and connected the boosters to the Loconet cable that runs between them and plugged this cable into the DR5000.? Everything worked as expect when tested - we were able to address and run locos without any problems.

We decided we wanted to make one CV change on each of the boosters and assumed we could do this from the central DR5000 command station.? Even with the module name set to DR5033, and the module address set to one of the DR5033s (e.g. 5), all we got was timeouts when trying to read or change CVs.

The first question is can we make these changes to one of the DR5033s from the central DR5000 command station?? If yes, can you please describe the process so that we can figure out what we are going wrong.

Thanks in advance
