Security lighting on maintenance building - can this be mitigated?

Hi Phil,

?

My wife and I enjoyed the party in June 2023, but the one thing I noted last time out was that the DCNR had some large vehicle maintenance buildings with bright security lighting that impacted the northern view.? Is there any chance they would give you the authority to turn off those lights, at least the ones facing the observing field?? Or perhaps cover / shield them with some red filters?

?

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave, thanks for asking, and letting me know you enjoyed it.? Good news..
I got full cooperation this year after some fuss.? ALL LIGHTS ARE NOW COVERED.? Better yet, they straightened that darn pole light, which was the biggest culprit.
Also, thanks for registering.? Looking forward to seeing you both (and your 2 dogs) again!

BTW, registration has been strong since I opened it up 4 days ago? That's very encouraging!
