Hi everyone.
First, thanks for being so prompt in moving to the new group.? This is rewarding to see. Second, I promise to try to be brief and to the point.? Always. Third, if you haven't voted or shared your preferences in descending order for next year's party, please do so ASAP.? I saved all replies so far, they aren't lost on Yahoo, so no need to vote again, unless you are changing or adding to a previous vote. I had hope for a much larger response, so a clear decision could be made quickly.? I'm still waiting for that to happen.? I don't want anyone to feel their choice wasn't given a fair chance.? I'll share results as soon as it makes sense to do so.? Anyone with a vacation choice deadline, feel free to text me at 717-891-8380 for a current update on where I am at choosing dates.? I'll call you back.? Please supply a good time for callbacks. That's if for now.? And thanks again.? I can't wait to see how next year's party turns out.? I'm very optimistic. Phil |
There is no formal voting form. You can just reply back indicating your choices in the order of your preference. Phil will consolidate all the emails together and share the outcome.?

For 2020 YCSP at Susquehannock State Park, which month, August, September, or October, would be your FIRST choice? Would you go the other months, or not, in what order? ? |

? Apparently my Yahoo membership didn't take, so I can't vote. ? I'd go for October first, as long as it isn't Halloween. Fewer mosquitoes, and clearer skies are more likely. ? Tom On 11/7/19 10:23 AM, philderosa1@... wrote:

I am voting for October. I am not sure if my vote came over from Yahoo.
October has a lot of upside: (1) The weather (dryer and more temperate) (2) Its darker earlier - longer hours of darkness (3) no bugs (4) does not inrfere with other star parties (5) Diverse and target rich observing all night. Summer objects in the south as soon as it get dark. The Winter objects are up after midnight. Not to mention the Autumn objects in Pegasus, Andromeda, Cassiopea are visible most of the night. I think the YCSP would be a terrific event close to home to end the observing season on. Best Regards. -- Paul Leuba |
