Taray, I hope they are using just the steel cluster bomb casings and not an actual BLU-63 bomblet as they are an extremely dangerous UXO and are never to be handled even by EOD personnel.

If it was reacting with H2O you’d get H2 If it was reacting with the HCl you’d get Cl. And Ho(OH) which may have neutralized the solution. But I’m no chemist. What’s the ph of the end

Blank was dil HCl Not filtered. The rusted??xrf specimen did show a Cd oeak perhaps enhanced by the corrosion. Cd if present is likely a minor??component to??improve color properties ? The
