Drilled Nuts and Bolts
Hey Group, Can anyone suggest a source for replacement nuts and bolts. Since I'm in the US all the aircraft grade hardware is SAE and as you are aware the X-Air uses metric. I can get quality metric nuts and bolts in common sizes, but have not been able to find drilled bolts and pins. Thanks for the help Trent |

Re: X-Air Ultralight Aircraft Re: Xair
It is interesting to see what you wrote about the wing rip problems that you had with the H-model. he possibility of that is one of several reasons that I took the pilots pod,and landing gear, and mounted them to a larger diameter, slightly thicker walled dorsal tube, and a hard wing on my personal aircraft, which obviously, I will not call an X-Air. No need to give the company owners any worries over a lawsuit, if someone copies what I did, (I will NOT make any plans available), and crashes it. I have a VERY strong constant chord wing, that I built for my aerobatic Spitfire, and an Avenger, (Phantom clone), and have never had any problems with the design in years. Re: Xair
I owned an XAIR Hanuman for a number of years, but probably would not buy another one.? There were problems with spare parts availability and some doubt about the future of the company.? There was an ongoing problem with the ribs that hold the profile of the wings in that the ribs would twist and break off the weak plastic ends.? Regularly replacing these ends was a difficult and annoying task. I also had problems with the landing gear where the wheels ended up splayed out, requiring the entire axle assembly to be replaced.? It was a fun and easy aircraft to fly, and the cabin space was good, but there are better options on the market. |
New Owner Introduction
Hi, I recently purchased an X-Air LSA and hauled it from Florida to Texas. It needs some TLC and fabric. I plan on using??but not sure about the paying the extra money for the OPAC vs Mylar. I also need to order a few items from the factory. In general how quick are they in delivering once order?? What source are y'all using for the hardware. The bolts are not the usual AN stuff I'm use to.? Thanks Trent Flemming ? |

* Apologies am reposting as ?accidentally deleted post. Hi all. I currently fly a Powered Parachute. Me and a couple of my PPC flying mates are currently converting over ?to 3 axis. Have fallen in love with the X-Air but really want to at least see one in flesh or better have a fly in one. Cant seem to make contact with any one over here that has one of these a/c. Would love to hear from anyone if you have a mate or know anyone I could contact over here. Also would like to see a pic of a BRS install and any comments regarding putting them on these type a/c Regards Nick |
