As mentioned already there are 3 different
brake sizes based on 2 different wheels used
through production of the plane.....

?
Well further
to my request and a couple of false starts, finally
found some brake shoes that fit. ?Turns out the shoes
are similar to those fitted to certain vintage Vespa
mopeds, the shoes themselves are marked as 125mm x
17mm. ?Pattern parts are available in the UK and are
cheaper than what I was quoted to get the shoes
relined. ? Interestingly the brake shoes I received
from the UK X-Air distributor were much smaller, so
wonder if my X-Air has a much larger brake drum. ?
Thanks for
all the advice given, it was much appreciated.
Does anyone know of a source
of brake shoes in the UK or further
afield for X-Air brake shoes? ?I
dismantled my left hand brake
assembly today to find what was left
of the friction material lying in
the hub.
Thanks
Darren
