¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Simon The fuselage has a flap behind the P2 seat as you will know. ?There are I understand that there are Hawks flying in France flying with BRS chutes. ?The thing to find out is are there any Hawks flying in Germany with chutes. There are two schools of thought about BRS, the first is that a good pilot does not need a BRS as training should provide the pilot to make a successful forced landing, rather like the Generals views of pilots and flying during the First World War. ?The second is that BRS is a step forward in safety and is now widely fitted and deployment has saved many lives. ?I think the odds on walking away unaided from a BRS forced landing are around the 99% mark were as a forced landing without a BRS the walk away figure is really slim. It must be noted that the C42, Skyranger and CT can carry BRS. ?Looks to me like the Hawk is behind in today's market!!! I am firmly of the opinion that the legislation 'industry' should really facilitate the fitting of BRS to all aircraft below the 600kg limit ASAP. Brian On 14 Nov 2015, at 20:13, simon@...
