Brakes

Designed and installed a new brake cam (the part that rotates and pushes the shoes into the drums).? It is 3/16" thicker and 1/8" taller.? Previously the brakes would not hold at any RPM above about 1500 making run-ups interesting.? Now the plane is rock steady at 2500 RPM!? The original cams were rotated almost 90 degrees by the time the shoes made contact with the drum.

Local machine shop made them for $250 for the pair including turning the drums.
