I have the hawk with the 912 and it trots along at 90mph burning between 10 to 12 ltr per hour and has good short field capability

The 912 is by far the best engine for the F model.....?? The 80l
tank is available BUT the UK rules may stop you using it.......?
Best to check with your importer and CAA

I wouldn't say there is no enthusiasm for the X-air
F. I have a 912 X-Air Falcon in the UK and am loving
it.
?
I? don't find anything wrong with the flaps but do
find them unnecessary.? I might use them for landing
in a tiny field but for landing at an aerodrome with a
nice long runway I just don't need them.
?
?
Otherwise the aircraft is very good, its safe, easy
to fly, with a 912 it burns 13 to 16 litres an hour
depending what I'm doing.
?
I have just landed today after flying 4,? 2 hour
flights over 48 hours including an overnight stop
sleeping in a tent under the wing? Great fun :o)
?
?
It would be nice to have something faster with more
range but Im much happier with something safe and
slow.? It could do with more fuel capacity. Does
anyone know if? long range / additional tanks are
available?
