¿ªÔÆÌåÓýIn my last reply, I forgot to mention that, in addition to the audio amplifier I run, I also homebrewed a 4:1 (stereo to mono) audio transformer for the X5105 and other audio-bud type outputs. Yes, the X5105 is a 32ohm, stereo headphone output and should not be use with 8 or 4ohm mono speakers directly. ? See the picture below. The transformer can be used in either direction, but it doesn¡¯t make much sense going from 8ohms to 32ohms. ? The 32ohm, stereo input side gets plugged into the X5105 and the 8ohm mono output side gets plugged into a speaker. The third connector (screw terminal) is the same as the other input but terminated so it can plug directly into my headphone amplifier instead of the X5105. The transformer can handle up to about 10W RMS to the speaker, way more than anyone would need. If you decide to make one, I highly recommend using real shielded microphone-type cable for the connectors to eliminate outside noise on the audio. ? This transformer makes a big difference in audio clarity and provides the ability to crank-up-the-volume, when necessary.
