Unexpected Amber Backlighting
All,
Finally able to pickup a x5105, but surprised the backlighting was amber versus green. Has anyone else gotten the amber lighting? Anyone know the why some are shipped this way?

Re: Screen is defective
Good luck with Xiegu direct. I have submitted 4 online emails in the last 2 years and never heard back. Not even a reference to a US Dealer who could help.

Re: Screen is defective
Radioddity is not the only dealer, but they do not have any either.
I also checked with CSI radio.
Waiting to hear back from Xiegu direct.

Re: Screen is defective
I hope you have better luck with them and the screen than I did trying to buy some replacement cables.

Screen is defective
My LCD screen is starting to show some faded spots and the blotches on other parts.
Does anyone know where you can get a replacement screen from for the Xiegu x5105?

Re: X5105 Battery

Internal Li-ion chargers are typically conservatively-designed to charge at a slow rate to avoid short circuiting the battery due to 1) a poorly designed charger, and 2) thermal runaway; both primary

I don't see it specifically mentioned in the group, but my X5105 internal battery was sitting at a shade over 10V today (doesn't really affect me, I always use an external power source anyway). I

Re: Battery issue?
Maybe check the output voltage of the wall wart you're using?

Re: Battery issue?
As others have pointed out it seems that the charging voltage is too low to fully charge your battery.
One other thing, as someone previously posted to this group, the percentage battery displayed

I think I know the answer to this one, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
What is the implication of removing the battery from the X5105, in terms of operation? I never use the internal battery, since I

Re: Battery issue?
First, download the manual from Radioddity, if you don't have one.
The manual says:
"Voltage of battery is generally between 12.1~12.5V after
charging. "
It also describes charging at 13.5

Battery issue?
I just bought a used X5105 from a local ham.? He gave me a small 12v 1a wall wart charger that he'd been using with it.? He said he fully charged it, but the battery only said 82%.? I didn't check

Replying to myself and to anyone else that needs it: The database on WSJT doesn't really have data for the X5105. I read somewhere else that the X5105 uses the same commands as the ICOM 7000. I input
