Re: External amp keying
Jens, Don¡¯t know if this helps but your best option (in my opinion) is to build a custom cable that connects your amp to the ACC port in the 5105. I have attached a picturing one of the 5105 manuals

Re: External amp keying
Many amps have an RF sense circuit. If your amp of choice doesn¡¯t have that feature you could copy that circuit from some other design and have it as a small auxiliary box complete with BNC

External amp keying
Has anydody found out how to key an external amp without the CE-19? The CE-19 is, at least for me, too bulky for portable work. PTT on the ACC port is not going to ground when keyed ? Thanks for

Re: MIC BIAS?
Electret condenser microphones need a small DC bias voltage, typically in the roughly 3 to 9 volt range.? Even cell? phones have a mic bias (not switchable, though).? The mic needs it in order to

Re: MMSSTV
Got it working using VOX on the radio and the generic Icom setting in MMSSTV for rig control. I've got really low audio on the TX but i'm sure that's just something simple like output audio settings

Re: MMSSTV
The only suggestion I can offer is to turn the VOX on in the 5105 and see if that will activate quick enough to successfully send the ¡°start up¡± signal for MMSSTV. Brian K0FBS -- Brian K0FBS

Re: MMSSTV
Yes, I've got the ce-19 working with all other digital modes like ft8 and jt65call. The problem is there's no settings within MMSTV for Icom ic-7000 in perticular but there is a generic Icom option

Re: MMSSTV
Are you using the CAT usb cable that came with the X5105? I've never heard of MMSTV - does it have 'rig control' built in? Do you have "Line In" for audio switched on (in the menu system)? With 'Line

Re: MMSSTV
Hi Ben, Settings for an IC-7000 have worked for rig control in WSJTX and JS8CALL. I am not familiar with MMSSTV, does it give you the option of choosing an IC-7000? Also are you using the CE-19

I'm struggling with getting MMSTV to transmit to the x5105. I've tried all the supplied setups within the MMSTV software for rig control but none seem to work with the 5105. I can receive audio from

Re: Antennas for portable or Pedestrian Mobile operation
I saw two X5105 videos on Youtube that really impressed me, got me thinking about the radio. First I saw one by OM0ET, then one by David, M0DAD.? They were both about making QSOs while walking around
