Internal Battery voltage
My internal battery charges up to 12.3V then says it's full. Is this about what others notice also? Another question, how can I tell when my X5105 was manufactured from the serial number? Joel N6ALT

Re: New member - Hello
That will help.? We can only know about what you actually write in your posts. Now, what program were you using when you got the error - WSJT, or something else? Is that the only error you've

Re: how to make PTT
In addition, the old post #92 in this group has a schematic that was reported to be for the mic input circuit, but that's not guaranteed to be correct.? The diagram shows "PC board connections" type

I also have an Abbree 27 mHz, 15 inch flexi whip, intended for CB.? With the X5105 tuner, I could get SWRs under 1.5:1 on 10, 12 and 15 meters, but not 20 meters.? It was purchased through eBay, and

Re: New member - Hello
Well, now at least you've described one symptom - the radio locks in transmit. Maybe I should say again, we can't troubleshoot if we don't know the problem. I already suggested using the IC7100 rig

Re: New member - Hello
Oops, I should have also mentioned that you can use the standard settings for the IC-7100, to work with the X5105.? That's how I do it, with no FLRIG? involved. -- Doug, K8RFT

Re: New member - Hello
It would help if you describe your issues, and also the settings you are using now in flrig and wsjt-x. For example, is wsjt-x set 'right' for PTT control?? What are your current PTT settings? Doug,

Re: Multiband portable 'HT' antenna system - one left on eBay
Yes, I have a GRA-1899, *very* much like the MFJ.? But it feels so heavy to use when the radio is hand-held.? And because of the way BNC connectors work with the spring inside the male connector,

MFJ has the MFJ-1899t with BNC connector and Comet has the HFJ-350M Toy Box, and there are several more; I have the MFJ-1899T that I find satisfactory, I have used it in 80 with good results. Cesar

Re: Speaker
If you have an earbuds-with-mic set, and the mic is in the cord down below the buds, you might be able to us that if you tape the mic onto the radio right next to the speaker. Dollar Tree stores often

Multiband portable 'HT' antenna system - one left on eBay
I got a new antenna the other day.? I haven't gotten out to use it yet, but it sure seems like a nice one. It's one that can mount directly onto the radio's BNC connector, for 'walkie-talkie' type
