The radio doesn't care much about the source, just the voltage is within factory specs and the current capability is high enough. I suppose there could be problems if the supply had a LOT of noise in

I have a MFJ-4230DMP 13.8v 30a power supply. ?Is this ok to operate the X5105 as an external power source and charge the internal battery in the X5105? the 30A MFJ is all I have at the moment

The PL-660 soft case fits -just! Nothing else -just the radio. It's what I'm using.
