So one of you missed out on a swinging deal. I was about to sell my 5105 for a song. It was getting flakier and flakier. Original firmware from years ago. I hate windoz in any form but had bought a $100 machine just so I could update the beast. Lots of frustration even getting the damned thing to do anything at all much less be at all useful in zapping my rig. Called MFJ for help. Got nowhere except a promise to call me back which never happened. Called Radioddity and was informed by a most pleasant lady that they don't do firmware upgrades. Finally saw a post on here about Connect Systems. Voila!
Called them up and talked to Jerry. Mailed the little dear off to him and within a week total it's back in my hand all happy and cured. Not only got rid of the weird science stuff but now I have about twice as many buttons to marvel over and brag about to my buddies.
