If its of any interest to you, I've been experiencing the same issues. My expensive Buddistick was tuned perfectly using a high end analyser and the pins were matched with the bands. Went to two locations. Ended up way off frequencies across all bands. SWR 9.9.1. Tried a brand new imported Magnetic Loop from OM0ET, again huge SWR readings, after again constant tuning where the onboard tuner had little effect. Finally managed to tune to a near perfect CW morse signal after an hour spent trying to tune the 5105. The signal was strong and perfect morse. Nothing but garbage from the decoder on several CW clear signals at varying speeds 15 to 20 wpm. I do wish that the experts on this radio on YouTube would finally get around the table and come up with the solutions to the issues with the X5105, instead of highlighting how good this radio is to them. The manual is rubbish, and the back up even worse. Now there are either alot of people doing something wrong here, or it's the Dam Radio itself. Chinese Junk. I'm about to throw the thing into deep water myself. Hope this helps your frustrations. You tube experts please help us all out.?
