Now, though, I'm getting a different project started.? I've ordered parts and bits to hopefully give me a bluetooth headset that will work with my X5105.? The one I ordered is made for use with the Baofeng UV-5R and similar HT's.? As well as the headset, I ordered adapter cables to cut up for making connections between radio and bluetooth device, including a CAT5 breakout connector for getting at the mic & PTT signals.? I intend to write that up - if I get it working!? I did make my own adapter and cable for running FT8 with my IC706, and it works pretty well.? There are lots of plans around for that project.
