I may be wrong but seems like someone determined that the battery voltage readout in the radio is in error.?

Hello all.
I have a question about charging voltage on a X5105. Mine when on the charger reads 13.9vdc input. But after 12-24 hours charging the battery voltage reads 11.9vdc and never gets any higher. It has always been this way since new. The radio works fine and battery life appears to be fine and the battery holds its charge for long periods of time. So my question for the group is does this seem normal or is there a problem in the making? Is the fully charged battery suposed to be 12vdc or hugher? The radio is about 4 years old with 3.0 firmware installed. Anyone else expierence this issue?
Thanks in advance,
Rick
