Greetings All, Onward & Upwards! Time to get things rolling here! I absolutely LOVE Military Dream Machines from the Atomic Age. Some of them were just so Damn Scary! Yet they ALL always make me wonder -> WHAT IF??? <- !!! You can find plenty of Very Interesting websites with details and drawings of the once proposed atomic powered Orion Space Battleship from the 1960s (!!!) but if ya want links I'll share them. --- I've chosen this simple Fantastic Plastic model site because it contains plenty of basic details and some darn good images. Take a look at this BEAST and it's list of armaments! She even carried three shuttle/fighters in onboard bays. Yeah, It scared the boogers out of old JFK, but stop a think for just a second. = This thing could not only have opened our way to the planets in the 1960s/70s but put us well on our way to The Stars! . . . Greetings All, MANY years back I grabbed up and read the Han Solo Adventures (3-in-1) by Brian Daley and later the Han Solo Trilogy by Ann C Crispin. I liked the first better than the second, and BOTH WAY FREAKING BETTER than any of the movies. (Just never cared much for all that Jedi "Force" mumbo-jumbo, I reckon. = "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid." Greetings All, I really had to laugh when I saw this commercial on the tube. This was one of the last video games we bought for the kids (while they were still kids). All I could think was, . . . Hollyweird has no idea of the concept of new idea's!! LOL That said, I started watching the new Tremors movie. Starts out where they are supposed to be in the Artic but it was obviously shot in sand. The second scene cuts to the original store with Bert in it arguing with the tax man ... and the show just gets worse and worse. Ron

Greetings All, Anyone here given this book a read??? The reviews don't seem all that great, but I like A Bertram Chandler, John Grimes' adventures and Ned Kelly (Australia's Jesse James in both as a famous outlaw and one who seems to have seen many Alternate History / Fictional rewrites.) Plus this book seems to be based around Time Travel and a Steampunk type setting, and I know there has got to be few fans of that hanging around here. I just saw the new Tomb Raider reboot and the first of the Jolie ones to refresh my memory. In the new one Lara gets her ass kicked, a lot. In the Jolie ones Lara kicks everyone else's ass a lot. The new one is certainly a better film. The older one has two decent scenes, one the opening with Lara fighting a robot and the second in the ancient temple in Southeast Asia were all the statues come to life. The new film doesn't have any single scene that is as much fun as those two were but the overall film is far less stupid. Terry Sofian tsofian@...
