I usually don't watch "newer" war movies either as they are junk. But this time it caught my attention?and even my WIFE liked it!!
As far as I am concerned, if they did nothing more than take all the time they used "Fuck" is some form out of that movie it would be a killer movie!! But the swearing language is so over used?as to actually ruin the whole movie.
I did see something tonight that made my whole week. That show I ran across - Combat Dealer - was on for 2 hours and one part of it was the guy found and bought one of the tank transport trailers like the model I am building!!! According to the show it may very well be the ONLY 116 Transport trailer left in the world with the steerable rear wheel bogie setup. It was pretty cool to see pictures of it and recognize?the different parts!
He also in the same place found a halftrack and after doing the research on it found out it is the basic running gear/frame with some sheet metal to a half track they only built a few hundred of at the start of the war and it mounted a single 2mm AA gun.
Man I LOVE the show, NO BS just truth and history behind everything he buys with LOTS of extra footage of the military shows he goes to. Watching a 75mm Pac?getting fired or a 88mm FLAK ... A REAL TIGER tank or Panther all actually firing just makes me smile from ear to ear!!!!!!
God bless the guys that spend the time and money to drag the junk out of the woods, rebuild it and USE IT!!!!!!!!!! The stuff does NOT go into some lame ass museum!!!!!!!!!!!
