I've been using Winlink for about a year, but only in Internet mode. Two weeks ago I setup my HF and VHF for winlink use. However, I'm a bit confused about the Radio-Only modes.

I understand connecting to a RMS gateway through HF or VHF and sending a Winlink message.

What I'm confused by is when I compose a Radio-Only message. What I've noticed is that if you compose a radio only message, it will not send if from the outbox if you use a Winmor Winlink session. It also will not send it if you use an Ardop Winlink session. It will send it if you use a Winmor Radio-Only session.

My goal is to be able to send a message without using the internet. HF or VHF

So my question is: What type of message format (Winlink or Radio-Only) works with which session type, to achieve a Radio-Only (no internet) transmission for both HF and VHF.
