Thank You
My name is Frances and we live in Bremerton, WA? USA.? I learned to sew as an 8 year old from my grandma on her Singer (which is still in the family).
?
Thank you for allowing me to join this group.? My husband bought this sewing machine about 8-9 years ago.? Due to his health we put it away and got it out again this winter.? The sewing machine has a metal tag on it saying "Wilson Rotary" 107X1772.? We are not sure of the date, make, or history.? It would be great to find out that information.? I sew/quilt everyday.? Being my husband's caregiver, sewing is a great stress reducer.? I would love to be able to sew on this machine.

That machine is basically a version of the white sewing machine. You can tell by the bobbin cover and the upper assembly. Have fun On Thu, Feb 20, 2020, 8:51 AM <im.a.grandma.now2017@...> wrote:

Hello,
? It looks very much like a White Rotary model 43.? If there was a piece of cardboard put between the machine and the motor to keep the friction wheel from touching the hand wheel you are in luck as those friction wheels can develop flat spots on them if left against the hand wheel.? There looks to be a missing hinge pin and the "hand hole" cover for accessing the bobbin case to change them out.? All of that can be fabricated easy enough.? Very good machines were made by White.? We have a couple older 100 year old plus FR (family rotary) with spoked wheels and groove for leather belt if motor not used and a model 77mg (magnesium) portable.? All are exceptional sewers and can do denim down to light stuff.? I think the 43 may have had reverse but not certain as I don't own one.? All the old White Rotaries are straight stitchers only but wow do they do that with the best of them. Best regards, Mike |

White made quite a few badged?machines. I have a white rotary badged as a Kenmore for Sears which carries the mode number 117-552. I suspect the 107 in this machine's model represents the retailer for which it was made, but do not know who ii was. Whoever made machines under the Wilson name would be a clue, but just the name Wilson is not to be confused with Wheeler & Wilson. Miller/TN |

Mike Kendall and group,
I just found a bobbin and the bobbin case under the sewing machine.? It also has the cover for that area.? It was stuck way back under the machine.? I will try to send a picture.? Your information is great.? Thanks.? Frances |
To Katie Farmer, I was given your email and name to help me find out what year my Wilson Rotary was made from a Harry Farmer.? The only number I can find on it is 107X1772.?
