Hello All, Saturday February 22nd from 1-3pm @ 185 W Cameron Bridge Rd(big brown shop across from Kenyon Noble yard), Bozeman. GHRC will be having an Antenna Build day. We will have a 2m/70cm Jpole, Tapemeasure-Directional Antenna for future Fox hunts(Spring/Summer), and 6 meter ladder line Jpole antenna(since we are at the solar cycle max). Each antenna will cost a flat $20 for the cost of supplies. Come build or help others, the more the merrier. Hello All, I have placed the documents from last nights Radiogram presentation at the GHRC meeting into the Radiogram Instructions folder in the Files directory of this W7ED groups.io. I hope to get the recorded presentation added to the folder as well. This is a great starting point for learning emergency communications in the ham radio hobby. We are planning some exercises/drills to begin training in the emergency communications field and how to handle the traffic. Look for more information to come. It was a great GHRC meeting. Hope Everyone is Safe and Warm Please find the zoom meeting link below for the meeting this Thursday evening at 1900 at the SAR Building. Eric will be providing the presentation on filling out radiograms along with the handling of traffic. I also was provided some information by the President of our HOA here in Ennis that allows me to install antennas and "he says - Ham Operators are allowed to put up antennas in an HOA". Montana passed a law that allows us to put up antennas especially for emergency use. The group will have a short discussion on this subject also. Neil Thanks.... I think I was at the shop years ago, but I can't remember why. So maybe I was someplace else at 4 Corners. Which shop is it? I will offer the good batteries to our fire department and sheriff, but chances are they won't want them. Since I am the only active ham in Big Sky, I may put the two good ones to work along with my generator in case of wildfire ... we are 96% likely for a fire here and Murphy says our cell towers will burn first.
