I could send you a CD of what I took on my last vacation if you sent me your address.
There may be a problem though. I know that if I send you a VHS copy, you wouldn't be able to view it as our formats record differently..but I am not sure that the digital systems are that different. Re: Rear tire width question
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý?
I would hesitate to put a 120/80 on. These bikes
are prone to sitting down at the rear and a 120/80 will lower the back more than
the stock 130/80.
?
The tyre you want is a 120/90...slightly
taller.
?
Either tyre will improve low speed handling because
the rolling radius is closer to the front tyre's.
?
Putting a fat rear tyre on will simply bugger up
the handling. It will feel wierd tipping into bends because the rear radius is
so much bigger than the front's, it'll have significantly LESS
grip, especially in the wet, because the LARGER contact patch will have less
pressure ( weight) per square inch...And it'll look stupid, like someone fitted
a big rear tyre to pretend they have a really powerful engine and never go round
corners. ...:-)

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThe TT is always on a Saturday Laura. I was
watching it but as it is obviously goping to be yet another Rossi benefit (Yawn)
I've left it to come and type this. I enjoyed the 125s The 250s were a bit
boring but as usual the Moto GP is a forgone conclusion.

Widest I've seen so far is a 130. Anybody seen larger? Why would you be going with a wider tire?

Re: :WAS goodwood breakfast club NOW MBS STRIKES AGAIN
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýProbably not!?? We've joined the VMCC and
they organise some events I'd like to have a go at - timed road trials with some
off-road sections sound like something I can manage to get round (as opposed to
being competitive!)
?
I'm going to collect the Morini today and I think
the bill will be about ?500.? Having said that, Alex at NLM says the
performance and starting are transformed. It went pretty well before so I'm
looking forward to trying it again now.? Trouble is, I think I will need to
sell the TY in order to pay off the resulting overdraft!? I'll then be
looking for bits to put together a trials Bantam.? I've got a rusty rolling
chassis as a starting point and I know people who can make bits for it if
necessary so I'm quite looking forward to the project.? I'd really like to
have a go at Red Marley but I don't think it will be next year.? There's a
Midlands Classic club who organise a couple of easier hillclimbs with beginners
in mind and a broader range of bikes being eligible so Jon and I both fancy
trying that next year.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýQuite honestly I think I prefer that. Should I be
booking my hotel room in Fort William for next year so that I can watch you in
the SSDT?

Re: :WAS goodwood breakfast club NOW MDS STRIKES AGAIN
Dick Tym
I thought that it would be too big for me as the R1150GS certainly; was. I just happened to mention to the salesman that I really fancied a GS but size was a problem so he said try sitting on one. before I took it out he fitted the optional lower seat which was a simple clip off clip on job.

Right side driver peg assembly
ksufanatic342
Ok...So I have decided to go back to the stock footpegs. Issue is I
can't find my right side pegs. (Got the left just no right.) So, I was looking or hoping someone on here might have a right side assembly they would sale. Most importantly I need the arm and the rubber. (I have the brake lever and all the bolts.) Email me with what you have, and prices. Thanks |
Re: pipes
ksufanatic342
As far as I can tell this exhaust/muffler is what I have on my dub.
They have the baffles removed, guy cut the ends off, removed the baffles, welded the ends back on. Very nice sound and mount to the stock headers no issues. Personally I want a set of fishpipes, as I love the older look. BUT, I love the sound and looks of mine...so it is a toss up. --- In W650riders@..., Brent Burtschell <burtschell@...> wrote: dyno but The dynothat figure is well within the tolerances of different dynometers. people who hadI used was considered to be conservative according to various with abeen on other dyno's before using 'mine' so I think my figure of 51 HP or two52 'bump' was close. Yes, why not make a mount and use your own 640 x 480 30 fps digicam? See:

Re: NHC: onboard videocam?
'Gift' is the phrase you use. Get a US lister to buy it for you...They can then post it as a gift...Something the retailer might not do.
640 by 480 pixels at 30 frames per second is not great...My digital camera can do that. Images look rough on a TV screen but if you use Windows movie maker and once your edit is done save it to your PC as an AVI file. It'll be huge, but it'll be the best quality you'll get and you can then ake compressed versions of it and compare them to find a compromise between quality and size. Also, check that you get a PAL version....our TV is 625 line at 25 frames per second, the States use NTSC which is 480 TVL at 30 fps.... Jon My te has MPEG2 portable recorders which record to hard-drive/card....Full DVD quality but the units are the size of a big paperback book. We have loads of colour bullet cams at work...I might experiment one day and do a ride down the lanes to Salisbury..... James I am very interested in what you have to say about the ATC2000 bullet cam you ahve just bought. I have been thinking about getting one of these and spent most of yesterday afternoon researching them, told you I was bored, and, whislt some footage looks poor, other footage looks fine, whether this is the way it is compressed in order to be hosted I have no idea. I can order the cam from the states for 49 plus 18 p&p, however does anyone know if I have to pay import taxes, customs at this end or can I just get the seller to put SAMPLE on the packet, as Ia hve heard this gets around any problems? --- In W650riders@..., "James Franklin" <jimw650@...> wrote: short legs (which won't even hold the mount to the tank) which protect thetank.
