Yep, it's because you view on the website. The attached pictures only go to those on email. You don't have to be left out, you can
always change over to email. If you'd like any help with it, feel free to ask Dick, Dennis, or me anytime!

Though not the Kawasaki bags, I got my 5 Stars side case mounts for
$171 (inc. shipping) here:

mgiToken=1G75TC7G1GR78&bike=Kawasaki

My mounts are what 5 Stars call Cruiser Mounts and are constructed of
flat sheet steel which results in a slightly narrower arrangement
than their all-tubular design.

I got both of my Givi E21 cases for $163 (inc. shipping) here:

Photos are under JH from OH in the Photos section. I have been
extremely happy w/ these cases and switch them back and forth between
the W and my KLR650. They actually hold as much as my BMW bags that
cost over twice as much. For day to day use, I like the top opening
bags better than the suitcase design. At $334 delivered to my door,
they were reasonably priced.

Through the kind assistance of Dick Tym, I've found a set in
Germany
but... the seller, Silverneck in Germany gets about $750 US, plus
or
minus depending on the exchange rate for the combo. This is bit
spicy for my budget.

Does anyone know of another source in any country that will ship to
the US (without the price of an upper and lower limb)?

Are there any large shops that might have one sitting in the
storeroom? Are there any places that deal in used or discontinued
items in your area?

Thanks,

Willyboy

In many cases it's simply nervousness. Many buy a Harley because
it's the "in" thing to do, and they can barely ride it. They're not
about to take a hand off the grip, or even break their concentration
to nod. Give them time. Most will wave once they're comfortable,
unless they quickly tire of riding and find another "in" thing to do,
such as horses...--- In W650riders@..., david berman

Could someone please shed some light on what's with that myopic

Apologies in advance to those H riders falling outside of the
aforementioned 'no-nods'.

I put the stock mufflers back on, as I cant rejet right now and I was going to have to take them off soon anyway to put back on the triumph.? They were a little on the loud side also.? The stocks are brutally quieter.

The 30 amp fuse is under the left side cover.? It is about in the middle of the mass of wire connectors.? If you follow the positive lead from the battery into the left side cover you will see where it terminates into a fuse compartment.? There is a pink snap on lid that covers it.? That is where the 30 amp fuse goes.? I disconnected all my wire connectors to access it easier.

most interest me.

My apologies for having difficulty distinguishing two different
people with the same first name. For some of us, each new day
brings
unexpected challenges...

Interesting comment you make re the Versys' revvy nature and
potential suitability for dirt roads. I would probably need to
quit
my job and spend the next seven years trying to figure out how to
fit
a W650 engine in a Versys frame. The end result would likely
entail a
substantial amount of duct tape. :-)

I took a ride late this afternoon to my favourite ice cream stand,
which is a short ferry crossing and a 45 minute ride from home
(ok,
it's not the closest, but offers a nicer run). Could have used the
heated grips and hand guards on Ray's V-Strom, as I had a couple
of
fingers starting to numb on my return trip. Summers are much too
short up in these parts.

I have to say that my initial feelings are that the Versys would
be
highly unsuited to dirt roads due to it's rather revvy nature. I
think what you need is a W650 engine in a Versys frame. That's a
little job for the weekend....

The oblong thing near the river mouth is the local stock car track.

?

Our weather on the coast is mild, not that cold in winter (but we still get the odd frost).

You don't have to go that far inland to get regular frosts and snow though.

Summer is mild as well with average temperatures from high teens to mid twenties?degrees celcius.

Definately not motorbike wearther today though, we have a reputation for it being wet.

When it rains it can really pour down, mostly at night though ;o)

I have decided to have one made with the motto from the order of the garter on it in latin.? Itreads "Evil to him that evil thinks."? I am stuck with a miserable job barcodeing and stuffing boxes with PVC pipe fittings at Spears in Caney Kansas.? A little 42 year-old girl broke my heart one lunch period? She was sitting smoking with tears running down her cheeks.? I asked if I could help and she said no, she just hadn't had anything to eat all day..? IT WAS 8:30 AT NIGHT !.? I asked her to share my lunch plate and she gratefully accepted.? We talked and I discovered her aunt was kicking her out of her room because some boy she knew had let himself in while she was gone.? Caney is a smalll town and she had no phone or transportation.? She paid for rides the 3 miles to work from people that passed right by there.? I gave her an off road bike and back pack and told her to go to all the preachers and see if anyone in their congregation had a room to rent her.? She had bought a car and when she went to insure it a headlight fell out so I found her the best deal on a header plate and headlight and a great deal on installation.? I got some commodities for her and a matress and comforter, sheets, pilllow, . since she was sleeping on a piece of foam rubber with no sheet? She had a marriage where the husband screwed around on her for 3 years and left her bbecause he was paying child suppport.? A landlord let himself in and raped her,\? She wishes to remain cellibate but got lonely and went out with the boy who got her drunk and did her until he got HIS jolleys and quit and then abused and beat on her and pushed her out of the car.? Then he went to work and bragged about beating a 5'1" 112 lb girl.? I gave her a needed tire for her car from my wreck and it didn't fit so the man took her last $25 for food to put on a used tire.? I gave her $25.? ? The asshole that hurt her lives in an appt behind and saw the money and my car so naturally ran his mouth at work I paid her for sex.? I also gave her a dildo so she wouldn't need a man,?which he saw etc, etc.? I figured I had better tell my wife what was really going on.? After the shock of my problem-solving, dildo and all wore off, she wanted to help me with my adopted little sister.? I told her she will NOT be hurt or go hungry ever again as long as I'm around,? God has richly rewarded us and I'm more deeply in love with my wife than when we were first married.? Every day of the week ends in Y but starts with a huge "O"? Maybe you can understand why I am going to have the shirt made.? We are legendary at work but really don't give a shit.??She has been spending all her spare money online to get a degree as a dental assistant so she?might have a life someday? I am proud of her for that? Keith Williams

Dear Laura--- I have a 1979 Vespa P-200-E altho it is down presently for bearings and rings, etc.? When I was in high school we thought that anyone that rode a scooter was about a quart low on testosterone and probably sat on a satin pillow and took ballet lessons, but when I finally got the VESPA? I found it to be the equivalent of a pack mule and can't think of anything I would rather take shopping at Wallyworld.? It is a utility vehicle and a cycle is a sport ride.? Two separate entities.???
