Gentleman:
I have a gorgeous lightly used 2000 serious Barn Find Kawasaki W 650 I would love to sell as I am moving and must thin the herd.? It has only 3200 miles and I have completely redone the bike.? It has a brand new Kehnin CR special carb matched to 2 pods.? When
I got it the carb was rotted from gas sitting in it.? That carb was $ 800.00 alone before I changed both front and rear tires to brand new Metzlers did an oil change with plugs, bled the brakes cleaned her up and added reservior shocks to the rear, wella!?
I have included some pictures of this awesome riding bike.? I was going to do a side car with it, but just no time, so I am going to part with it as I have other bikes.? Please reach out anyone in the group that is looking for a perfect bike to just get on
and ride.? She is a beauty. You can reach me at 215-410-0770 for more pictures and any additional information.
Sincerely,
Howard Waxman

Re: 2 Ws for Sale
He's been a member for years, and actually tried to sell the two bikes in 2020. I'd say he's legit, and members are asking the right questions. Dennis moderator

Re: Low idle, uuah? How to remove idle mixture adjustment screw caps
If talking to me: my issue seems to be solved. The idle was ticking over perfectly last night at 1,000rpm and again this am. It's def hotter out today so I will confirm my setting is correct this evening after riding?
No vaccum leak as the idles above were perfectly steady, sprayed some liquid on carb boots and no change in idle? |
Re: Low idle, uuah? How to remove idle mixture adjustment screw caps
Ok, to clarify you are talking about two different things. I was always taking about the external, black idle Speed Control Knob. You are talking about something else. If you lost the idle screw air/fuel, buy a cheap magnetic pickup tool and retrieve it. Don't run your bike until it's found because? motors can def suck up small items like that and cause very costly damage.

Re: Low idle, uuah? How to remove idle mixture adjustment screw caps
? had to spray the black idle speed knob twice with lubricant for it to move better. I'm just laughing at how effective such a simple thing was. This am was bang on once again. Will keep an eye out during return ride, as the temp has risen significantly, could result in a high idle.?
On my previous ride, this symptom would have been carb removal, cleaning(even if clean), reinstall, more than likely a sync and double check of air/fuel mixture |
