I'd say allowing the site to go dark and letting it be availableon Internet Archive is a sign that he wouldn't mind having the information posted where others could more easily find it, especially fellow W650 riders.

It's not like he monetizes it so it wouldn't result in potential economic harm (an important factor in copyright infringement cases).
