It's possible that your side stand may be slightly bent from someone sitting on the bike on the side stanford?mounting the bike when it's on the stand.? That's all I can think of... Sorry, wish?I could offer more.

What part of the sidestand is contacting the muffler?? The foot or the wire toe piece?
