The full mark is about 1/2 way up the sight window. I have about 85,000 km on my 2000 and it shows no appreciable consumption after about 3-4 thousand km per yearly oil change.?
I know, that isn't a lot of mileage per season but that is all I seem to be doing now due to my old age. I like the bike to snooze thru the winter with new oil and filter, ready for next year.
