I have a YTX14BS in mine right now which is dead from lack of use and my not keeping it on a maintainer.? But I also remember it was almost impossible to install and fit in.? The K Service manual calls for:?
12 v 12 AH (200 CCA) ? for the C3 - C5
12v 10 AH (180) CCA? for the C5. C6P, C7 and C6F
The 20 CCA difference doesn't bother me much at all.? I don't live in or ride in a super cold climate and I keep the bike inside. I also not have any additional electric current draws on it.
A YUASA? YTX14BS? is? 150 mm x 87 mm x 145 mm?? or 6" x 3-7/16 x 5-3/4"
A YUASA? YTX12BS is? 150 mm x 87 mm x 130 mm? or? 6" x 3-7/16" x 5-1/8"
If the difference in the 2 battery dimensions is in the height,? I am going to try a YTX12BS this time in the AGM and see how it goes.? I know how long the 14 BS lasted for me,
I am more interested in the fit and being able to get the battery out, which on my bike the 14BS is almost welded in there it is so tight.
