Update:
it turns out it wasn¡¯t the old O rings that were there, but an O ring that was missing between the tank tube at 4:00 on the filler neck and the tapered nozzle thingy on the cap (part 92030-1030) that was causing my issue. Missing since I bought the bike in 2016!?
This part was available and arrived in a week. $6 and two minutes later my problem was solved.?
