For anyone else who gets this issue you can buy the diaphragms from
aftermarket sources that are less than half Kwak prices¡ on my first gtr the
full price was ?75, NRP in Manchester sold them for ?29

My 2000 W650 was running poorly for several
months. Engine would
break up on light acceleration or when engine/weather was cold.
Engine started & idled fine and was good on heavy throttle. The
Kawasaki dealer overhauled the carbs. The problem was the diaphram on
the vacuum valves. A very expensive repair as the vacuum valves are
$105 each. The repair was a success. Don't know what caused
deterioration of the diaphrams.
