Matty,
Cosmic, IMO, is something like the new Suzuki B-King thingy.
Tigers, Stroms, Beemer GS's, KLR's, etc, etc, sell well because
they work well in the real world. Granted, they might look a little
goofy to the purist, but they are popular for a reason.
When I advertised my V-Strom last Feb. I sold it on the second
inquiry....by email, sight unseen, at a high-ish price for the
mileage and condition. I had at least a dozen more calls (from as
far away as Texas) before I could pull the ad off of Craigslist.
The local dealer here stays sold out of them while his cruisers and
rep racers are languishing this year.
I like Classic bikes and I like 'classic' bikes, too, but I wouldn't
use a '56 Crown Victoria as my day-to-day ride.

Another cosmic looking bike they dare to call a motorcycle. Now I
understand why Im seeing New Harley Sportsters everywhere on the
road again...great price and great looks of simplicity.
Just my thoughts on the Versy Matty
Biff????Yeah, I'm a fan of that one. The August Cycle World did a
write up on it, really liked it. Recommended reading if the bike
peaks your interest. Detuned 650R, nice power curve. Like a W on
steroids. Whole different look, though.????They're releasing it as
an early 08, but not for California. I hope they bring a Cal legal
model in next year. Won't meet smog now.????Here's the US
distributor page on
it... you
want to read what the owners think of the Versys, go
here...

---I doubt if you see the W come back. I think values on W 650s
will
start to go up and bringing more over will dampen that.
For what its' worth, Kawasaki is supposed to bring this to the
states in 2008. IT's got a lot of the Ninja 650R in it and if
you're <BR>a parallel twin fan, what's not to like?
